1) Use the gateway manager to determine which USB port the z-wave stick is plugged into and make a note of this. Gateway Manager->USB Devices
2) Open the "Devices" app, choose "Customer Devices" and enter the gateway id. When the list populates select the Gateway.
3) Choose "Change Z-Wave USB Port" and change the port to be the port noted in step 1)
4) Then Choose "Configure USB Ports".
5) Change the port on the Hub that the z-wave is plugged into to be "Z-Wave"
6) Change the port you will be using for the Base Station to be "Serial (VBWRDIA...)"
7) Choose Update gateway USB configuration
8) When it finishes updating reboot the gateway (this step is only necessary the first time you ever configure the USB on a gateway as it will install required drivers the first time it's done.... after that you can change USB port configurations without rebooting)
9) Use the Gateway Manager app's USB Devices button to confirm the 2nd USB device (for the base station) is being detected and is in the port you configured it to be in. If it's not in the right port then you can move it to the right port or choose to configure the port it's in (step 6)
10) Using the Devices app, add the VBWRDIAL device to the gateway (named after the propane tank)
11) Select the device you just added from the list of devices on the gateway and change the USB port with the "Set USB device port" button to be the port from step 9
12) Select "Link device by serial number" and enter the serial # printed on the transmitter to link the transmitter
Within a minute or 2 the logs should show the device is connected and you are getting readings (you may need to reload the logs app to see this if it was opened before the first reading was received from that device).
